When I, Shayna, moved to Matamata two and a half years ago, I very quickly noticed something missing from my new hometown - a good old fashioned Farmers' Market. As an event manager of 10+ years also with previous market managing experience under my belt, it was an easy decision to launch something here. I firmly believe that every town needs a farmers' market, and that we need to focus on seasonal and organic eating for health, and supporting our local economy and wider community. 

The market will run every Sunday from 8am to 12.30pm, except the second Sunday of each month. So mark your calendars, bring your family, your friends, and your appetite. Matamata’s new market is ready to turn your Sundays into a fresh, organic way of fuelling your family.
